Culture

The Central Health system includes Central Health, CommUnityCare Health Centers, and Sendero Health Plans - a system that treats every individual with dignity and respect, making healthcare better for everyone in Central Texas.

Central Health, Travis County’s hospital district, is dedicated to ensuring access to quality healthcare for residents of Travis County, Texas. As a critical part of the community, we strive to create a healthier future for all by providing comprehensive and equitable healthcare services. Our commitment extends beyond clinical care, encompassing advocacy, partnerships, and innovative solutions that address the broader determinants of health.

Since 2019, Central Health has centered equity for its team member population. It established an employee-led equity and inclusion task force, focused on creating equity and inclusion goals, objectives, standards, and values for Central Health. In 2022, the task force evolved into our official DEI Council that serves as an employee voice to align the overall purpose and vision for all. Through strategic leadership and varied programming, our commitment is to provide opportunities for honest dialogue within our teams and the community and collaborating with each other and partners to enhance individual and business outcomes.
